Who hasn't lost their camera, usually not too much of a problem unless you lose a 2007 camera in 1984. Then you not only lose racy pictures of your wife, but you also lose your son. Seems 1984 isn't ready for 2007 technology, although when he was in the "new' 2007 the nanotech was pretty cool.
So after losing his camera and missing dinner with the sister in law, he comes in and finds a strange little girl wandering around calling him "Daddy". Where is his son, where is Zach?
He takes his wife behind closed doors for a chat. She remembers everything that has happened lately, so they go over the "conception" of their son, never happened, is computer crashed and they didn't do it until later that night, resulting in a girl not a boy.
Of course the new turn of events causes some tension, Katie isn't aware they ever had a son, and is vehement that he not change a thing, of course when he rights his wrong she won't remember the daughter.
Sister in law convinces Katie to see a psychic, the psychic immediately pegs Dan as special and asks for his birth date, then she tells him Zach isn't where he's been looking. this freaks out Katie who is the only other person that Dan has told about Zach.
Dan finds out that the boy who found his camera ended up missing and presumed dead shortly after refusing to return his camera, he calls the boys mom and finds out she has gone blind due to diabetes.
Dan and Olivia get sucked into 1984 and interrupt the sale of the camera. But they were wrong about the man they thought had bought it, turns out the boy had gotten a better offer. They steal the camera and destroy it, disappearing about the time people start shooting and the real bad girl gets it.
Dan returns to work to find a picture of his son, he "googles" the boy and finds out he's discovered a nano type thing that will help his mother see. We can all sleep well tonight.
Jack who has been looking into the fake FBI investigation finds a picture that he show to Dan. It is Dan and Dr. Langley when Dan was a boy. He shows it to Dan, when the psychic comes to tell Dan that he was born under a comet, and it's only happened one other time in the last 100 years. March 2, 1923. Olivia's birthday. We ended the show with Dan on Dr. Langley's office steps, Dr. Langly denying all knowledge of who Dan is.
Dan walks away, but the share a "look". Tune in Wednesday, for another two for one.
Pushing Daisies
IF YOU ARE NOT WATCHING THIS SHOW PLEASE FOR THE SAKE OF ALL THAT IS GOOD ON TV WATCH IT.
I did not start at the beginning, but I'll let you in on what I know.
Main character's:
The Pie Man. His name is Ned, he owns a pie shop, and helps his friend solve murders and they split the reward. He helps solve the murders by waking the dead and asking them who killed them. He's magical. Ned discovered his "power" as a child, his mom died and when he touched her she came back to life. Cool huh? But there is a catch, if he keeps the dead alive longer than one minute, something else must die. From what I can tell the person closest to him at the time. Also, the first time he touches something dead it comes back to life, the next time he touches the dead, it dies forever. Bad news first for the neighbor, who died one minute after he brought Mom back. Bad news for mom, who was unaware of the power and one night kissed her son good night. Bad new for the neighbor's daughter, also the childhood sweetheart of young Ned.
Chuck. The aforementioned childhood sweetheart of young Ned. Yes, it's a girl. Who at series beginning was dead. She'd died in a freak synchronized swimming accident, (from what I can tell). The detective friend brought Ned to the morgue to solve a possible murder. Ned recognized his long lost love, and chose to keep her alive. The catch, he can never touch her again. So, no gratuitous sex scenes. They are truly in love, and their love transcends their need for physical gratification. This annoys the two other main character's. First being...
Olivia, a waitress at the Pie Hole. (hilarious) She is in love with Ned, and cannot figure out why Ned and Chuck never touch. She constantly puts herself in situations that require touching Ned. This annoys Ned.
Ned and Chuck also annoy ...
The Detective. He's a very straight forward, show me the money type. He likes how easy his job is when Ned can solve crimes for him, however Ned brings Chuck with him wherever he goes. Chuck is not so much concerned with who killed the dead person, but rather if the dead person has any unfinished business that Chuck can complete for them. Of course one minute does not allow for a lot of chit chat, so we get some crime solving, some unfinished business.
I love the narration. I love the cinematography. I love the writing. I love this show. I love that writer's are creative enough to portray a love story and not make it a sex story. I am far from being a prude, but don't need sex stories for the sake of sex.
So, please watch it so it will stay on tv. I don't want to pay $19 for the entire series on dvd.

Ok, now what? Crews solved the crime and caught the guy that he did twelve years in prison for. It turns out it was his new partners, dad's CI, (or confidential informant). And the biggest shocker of all. The CI had been raising the daughter of the people he murdered. Only slightly less shocking, the CI had found Jesus and had been a televangelist for the last 10 years. OH MY.
So, the criminal is caught. But during the confession, he admitted to killing those people, but he did not set Crews up. Of course we know who did? Crews' partner's dad. Keeping Crews from hauling daddy in, the information that daddy knows where Crews' friend's daughter is. That'll keep the closet crime solving in full gear, once the writer's strike is over.
