The Biggest Loser 9/30/08

Allison announced that the remaining teams were going to go to the Grand Canyon. Everyone was excited, but scared. Everyone wondered what torture lied ahead.

On the road trip they stopped at a pit stop, Allison pulled up in a nice RV. When they were inside checking it out, someone set up a cot and sleeping bag. The temptation was in a convenience store. They had to guess the closest calorie count of a convenience store food, without going over, won a pack of gum. Who ever got three packs of gum first, got to sleep in the RV. The inconvenient rule, if you don't have the winning guess, you have to eat the snack.

First, was a chocolate covered caramel. 26 calories. Orange guessed right, Purple, Pink and Red were eating it.
Second, was string cheese. Again, Orange won with 80 calories, Purple, Pink and Red were eating.
Third, a hot dog with 240 calories, no one but Orange played, they guessed 10 calories and won, because no one else played.

A twist, preview. No one will be voting in tonight's elimination.

They stood and overlooked the Grand Canyon on the west side. They had their soap opera moment where they analogized their lives with the Grand Canyon. Something beautiful will happen over time. Blargh.

They made it to the camp site, and moved into their tents, tossed the medicine ball around. They were lost without the direction of their trainers. Some of them decided to go for a walk.

The next we see the teams, they are on the river. Yellow Dad is now medically cleared to compete. The challenge is one family member starts paddling in a kayak. The other family member stays behind on the dock and tries to pull the other teams back to the dock. The last dock to touch the dock wins. The prize? A Jayco RV. Wahoooo.

Purple made a crucial error when the dock mate pushed all of the rope into the water at once instead of feeding it in. The rope got tangled under water and the kayaker was stuck. When the other mate was allowed to start pulling the ropes, coming in was Pink, Purple, Brown, Yellow. It came down to Red and Orange. Red guy was on the dock pulling Orange guy, Red girl pulling Orange girl. Orange wins the challenge and the RV.

Back at camp, Colleen from the Yellow team had a birthday. Everyone went around and said nice things about her. All the nice things being said about her made her dad cry. His crying made all of the other parents cry.

Orange is bragging, hope that doesn't come back to bite them. Meanwhile, back at the ranch. Everyone was so happy. Orange said they were going to be in the top three. (I'm guessing bottom) No one is looking forward to working out, for the first time at the last chance work out.

Bob was upset that they didn't hike, or work out while they were gone. They were telling him how bored they all were, and uninspired they were in regards to the working out.

The teams were whining to Jillian that they were outside on their own, they went for a few walks, but didn't know what to do. So, she taught them how to cook for an entire week so that they would have all the food prepared in advance. Also giving the Ziploc vacuum bags a plug.

Bob's last chance workout, was no gym, using all of the items they had when they were camping. Jillian did the same. Yellow Dad is hurting again, he's really limping. One of his legs is swollen, they think he may have a blood clot. Jillian took the rest of them to the gym, while Dad went to the hospital. Bob brought his team in to work out. Jillian was beating up the Pink daughter and she wouldn't tell her to stop, she just sat there crying. Jillian kept asking her "what do you want to say to me?" She never said anything, she just kept taking the beating and crying. Jillian told her to set some boundaries for herself, and get a voice. She said you need to tell me to "stop hitting me you crazy person." Jillian kept at it until she finally got her to say "I'm not going to kick today."

Yellow came back from the hospital, no clot, but he has a torn hamstring. His daughter was relieved that it wasn't more severe like a blood clot or infection.

Who's whining? Purple, they're not campers. Red, guessed wrong, and whined. Everyone whined while camping. Everyone whined about the kayaking. Brown is whining that they came to work out, not camp. Red was whining that her arms were going to fall off.

At the weigh in the teams learn that no one will be voting tonight. Only one family will fall below the yellow line. Only one person from that team will be going home. The family will decide amongst themselves which member goes home.

Red lost 15 pounds for a total of 2.95%
Orange lost 16 pounds for a total of 2.72%
Purple lost 9 pounds for a total of 2.14%
Pink lost 9 pounds for a total of 1.91%
Brown lost 8 pounds for a total of 1.51%
Yellow lost 5 pounds, the daughter lost 7 the Dad gained 2. For a total of .89%

Yellow team has one hour to decide who is going to go home. (I'm guessing Dad) He tells her as her father, she has to take this opportunity, his injury is going to slow him down anyway. He is ready to go home. She says he needs to be here to be healthy. She doesn't want him to die, he needs to stay. He says he couldn't take the opportunity from his child.

In the elimination room the teams gather to find out which person on the yellow team is going home. The teams take turns saying nice things to the Yellow team. Of course we have to drag it out soap opera style. How does that make you feel? Dad is going home.

Dad lost a total of 20 pounds, even though he couldn't work out to the Biggest Loser equivalent. He got off his blood pressure meds in the three weeks he's been there. He runs 1.5 miles, and does 5 miles on the bike every day. Dr. H. flies out to surprise him. He's off of four of his five cardiac medicines. He has lost a total of 70 pounds, and he looks great. A big improvement from only being able to walk for 7 minutes when he arrived at the ranch.

"Find Your Happy Place"

We left off last season with Charlie finding out that not only is Rachel Seybolt, the daughter of his former partner, alive. But the person responsible for hiding her all of these years is the father of her current partner. Remembering that Charlie spent 12 years in prison for his former partner's murder. He was exonerated and given $50 million and went back to work as a detective to solve the crime for which he did the time.

This season has us "at the river" staring into an open foot locker with a beautiful dead body in it. Yes, when you die of heat in a box, you look gorgeous. When they remove the body they discover the number one stenciled on the bottom.

The next scene has them on a freeway staring at an identical foot locker. Another body, this one a man, with the number two stenciled on the bottom. They get another call which takes them to the roof of a building, staring at another foot locker.....

They find another beautiful girl inside along with the number three. They open her wallet, find cash, a driver's license, and a business card.

They go to the business on the card, a shipping depot type place. Charlie asks the clerk what he can put in a box, to which the clerk replies, "whatever you want." Charlie then pulls fruit out of his pocket, a kumquat, and asks if he has a box for that. Of course we know that Charlie loves his fruit, having been denied it while in prison. They go over some other possibilities of what you can put in a box. Charlie asks if he has a box big enough to hold a man, his partner chimes in, "or a woman." This freaks the clerk out, and then they reveal that they are detectives. And they find out that victim number three usually runs the counter.

The next scene is in an office building, they are talking to the widow of victim number two. They try to determine if he had any connection to the other two victims.

The first victim, was an immigrant. They are about to go and investigate when a man owning a luggage store comes in and announces that a man had come in earlier and bought 10 trunks like he'd seen on the news.

The first victim apparently was a stripper, who worked in a place where the dancers dance in boxes. The other dancers cannot think of anyone who enjoyed the boxes more than anyone else. They explained that she was happy for no reason. The other dancers said she'd just gotten a line in a movie "I've never seen a sky that blue."

The detectives get a text, the new boss, (played by Donal Logue) wants to see them. They report that they cannot find a commonality between the victims. The new boss says "so it's random?"

To which Charlie replies, "except nothing is random."

"why is that?"

"Because it is all connected."

Charlie walks out after saying maybe it's not who they were, but where.

Charlie comes and pounds on the window for Reese to come and check out what he's found. The last two victims had cars with GPS, and the only place their lives intersected was a park. Crews and Reese go and check it out.

While they are there the notice an ice cream truck. They go and talk to the guy, while Charlie is asking about which kind of fruit they might have in their ice creams Reese asks him if he's alright, he looks a little shaky. He starts to mumble out some answer, and Charlie says "I don't know what your friend on the floor is planning to do, but I'm going to count to three and then I'm going to shoot him." The bad guy on the floor has a shot gun pointed at Charlie through the wall of the truck, and Charlie has a gun pointed at the bad guy. We fade to commercial and hear a gunshot.

We come back from commercial, Reese is eating icecream and there is a man being loaded into an ambulance, screaming "you didn't count to three." They were selling crack out of the ice cream truck, happened to be in a school zone. They couldn't have committed the murders because they had just been released that morning.

In the public restroom, we see Crews trying to catch up on lost time, the bathrooms have had installed laser faucets, and apparently he's sold his soul to Milhouse for a buck, because he can't get them to work. A woman from the park identifies victims two and three as people who were at the park last week. Victim three was taking a picture of victim two. She had noticed because guys without kids in parks stand out.

Crews and Reese are discussing the possibilities of the two having an affair and the wife finding out and killing them both, adding in the stripper because the guy had likely visited there. They cannot find the wife, but the building security says she's at the office. Crews and Reese go and check it out and hear a woman in the office saying she'd "do anything you want." Guns drawn, Crews and Reese the wife having a little fun with a girl.

The wife reveals that they were splitting for obvious reasons, and that victim number two was moving to London. He was going to make a new start and try to be happy.

We then see another trunk being left at LAX. Inside is a high school senior who had just gotten a full ride scholarship to run track.

Crews realizes that all of the victims were about to be happy. He also realizes that when people are happy they want to announce it, so back to the box store, they do announcements. The clerk can't find their customer list. So Crews and Reese go and see if any of the friends and family had gotten happy announcements from the victims. Sure enough,

They get a warrant to search the clerks apartment, who lives above his mother. They get her to let them in, and inside it is set up for a birthday party for a kid. There are invitations on the table, one for each of the victims. There is another invitation for a wedding. They go back to the box shop and break through the door, in the back they find another foot locker. Inside is the clerk with a bag over his head. They notice a missing ceiling tile. Crews goes up into the attic to find four more boxes. Along with the ones the victims were in there are nine trunks accounted for.

Next scene is a woman crying, the wedding is tomorrow and they can't find their daughter. The clerk is in the interview room, he won't tell them where the girl is because the thought of her in the trunk is the only thing that makes him happy. They bring in his mom to get some answers. He's a freak, he tells his mom it's ok it's one big smile. Crews turns over the box of party favors and finds a map with a happy face drawn on it. They find the girl on one end of the happy face of the map.

With that crime solved, Crews goes to the prison to speak to the man who had killed Crews' partner and family. He'd been raising their daughter as his own. Said the Lord had told him to do it.

Crews leaves the prison and goes to a Hostel that Rachel had been seen leaving several days ago. The guy who ran the Hostel claims that no Americans ever stay there. Crews and his accountant, who had spent time in jail too, discussed that the room they were in were smaller than the others, they notice the floor is dinged up under one of the beds, they move the bed to find a hidden room, in the room they find Rachel. Rachel is freaked, Crews tells her to calm down, the "fire sent me to get you." She immediately calms down, he picks her up and walks her out of the Hostel. He tells his accountant to shoot anyone that tries to stop them.

The Unit 9-28-08

We start out in France, Jonas is doing his thang, trying to sweet talk somebody out of something. The woman who is translating tells the french men that she thinks he's wearing a wire, she then pushes Jonas into the water wear Bob is waiting. Jonas grabs a gun and Mac shoots one of the french guys. Bob and Jonas come up shooting. Everybody dies.

The next scene, we see the woman who was translating, changing in the back of a military air craft. Jonas comes in and introduces himself, and so does everyone else. They banter back and forth, Grey asks if we can keep her, Jonas says she goes back to her own command.

Stateside, we are at the radio station. Tiffy and Molly are discussing Tiffy's divorce and that Mac has been gone five months. Tiffy says she has to surprise him with divorce papers, he's going to fight. Molly says he won't, Tiffy said he's a warrior, when he's challenged he fights. Kim is on the air, and indicating that she is now syndicated in eight markets.

Kim takes a break to go talk to Tiffy and Molly and check on her baby, that is with the nanny in the office. Their get together is shortened by news that the Vice President has been shot.

In the war room, the colonel is getting a briefing while still in crisis. The FBI has shot a man they believe to have been planning an attempt on the President. The Vice President died in Rome. The President is secure. There has been an explosion at the VP elect's home and he is believed to be dead. The President elect's motorcade has also been attacked.

Jonas is on the phone in air. When he gets off the phone he tells the team to load up with whatever we've got, the flight is being diverted. He then gets back on the phone and says his team is himself and three shooters. They'll be on the ground in 10 minutes. The woman on board says she's a shooter too. He says they'll give her a chance.

The team is on the ground. They are looking for the President elect. They find a spike strip. They are looking for the receiver of the lojack that is on the President elect. Bob assessed the situation and says there were eight shooters. Grey finds a trail, and the team goes off looking for the President. They find a badly wounded Secret Service agent. He says "Clint has him" then "they had the code too." He then dies. The find the receiver for the lojack and take his ammo.

Redhat, the new girl, is running the command from a fire tower. She determines they were on their way to NORAD as it was the closest secure bunker. The team runs into a squad patrolling the woods. One of them grew up in the area, and Jonas snags him for the team.

Back on base Molly comes home to find her home being packed up and moved out of her home. The soldier tells her to get inside.

Kim is experiencing the same at her house. A soldier is telling her to pack whatever she'll need for a week, no identification. There are bags for each of the children. The soldier tells her to make sure there is nothing with their names on anything they pack. Kim tells them her baby is sick and has to go to the doctor. They cannot tell them when they are coming home, and instruct Kim to "pack as if you aren't."

Tiffy is seen inside a room waiting, Kim, their new baby Emily, and Molly come in. They discuss that none of them know what is happening, and that they need to pick up the kids from school. A soldier comes in and tells them to put their purses, wallets, cell phones, personal pictures, keys to their houses and cars in the bag.

Back in the woods of Colorado, Redcap calls and informs Jonas that the guy they snagged that grew up around there doesn't officially exist, he's a bogey. They lose communication. Jonas sends the bogey to check out a trailer, who gives it a once over and says it's clear. Jonas commands him to check it out more carefully and he doesn't do anything. The team has surrounded him and Bob punches him in the face at the same time Grey kicks him in the back of the knee, they take him down. Jonas asks why he would sell out his country, he informs him that he is not an American. Jonas then gives Grey the option to hog tie him or shoot him.

They've determined that the entire squad is filled with bogey's and that is how they are going to get out of the area with the President elect, by blending in. Jonas checks out the "surprise" in the trailer. They find two dead men. They also find two dogs missing and wonder why they would take the dogs. Jonas goes back to the bogey that Grey has tied to a tree, he is now speaking a foreign language. Jonas then puts a lot of beef jerky in the guys pockets and tells him he hopes the bears get to him before he returns.

The tracks lead off in one direction, the lojack in another. Mac takes the lojack while Bob and Jonas follow the tracks. Jonas then calls the Colonel and tells him that he needs all men in uniform out of the area. The Colonel tells him that it will be a big operation pulling them all out and wants to know why. Jonas tells him he won't say on the line, and adds that he's going to start shooting anyone he sees in uniform. They blow up the trailer for "misdirection."

Back on base there is a medic checking out baby Emily. A suit comes in and Kim tells him that she needs a pediatrician. He says they don't have time.

Mac finds the lojack tied to a dog. Jonas reports his position to Redcap, while they are mapping it, one of her team is shot. Redcap is getting shot at, she takes the dead guy as cover, ties a rope to him, uses him as a decoy and sneaks out the back. She ends up shooting the guy.

Back at base they've gotten a pediatrician, the kids have been brought in from school. The baby needs an antibiotic drip. The Colonel comes in and says Kim has to give them the baby and go with him. He takes the women into the office and tells them they are being relocated. They need to send the children, including the baby to go and live with relatives. He explained that the breech in the Vice Presidents protection had killed himself four hours ago, they had also found his wife and kids dead. They tracked the man who had killed the family and in his hotel room they found video of all the women at their homes, walking with the baby.

They are then given new identities.

Jonas and the team have found the President elect. He determines that they are loyal Americans and agrees to go with them. Jonas explains that they are going to have to walk out. Then people start shooting at them. I think Bob gets hit, but only in the vest. The team gets back to the house they'd passed on the way. Explaining that the bogey's have stopped shooting because they are surrounding the team and the team will need to make their stand.

Redcap runs into Mac, and they MacGyver together a fingerprint kit to send the prints of the shooter to the D.O.D. Redcap says that her radio is dead.

Kim is saying bye to the kids and telling them to be good for Grandma.

Back in the cabin the boys have put the President elect into a cast iron tub and given him all of the vests to "cover what's important" Grey says they only have .22 rounds and the bogey's will be wearing Kevlar. Jonas tells him he'd better shoot them in the head. Bob finds a bow and arrow which will apparently go through Kevlar. The bogey's are getting close, Grey has found some black powder and is making an IED. Tells the team to aim at the head and the groin. Bob shoots one with a bow and several others start firing at the house. There is an exchange of gunfire inside the house, Grey throws the IED and it explodes in the house. One of the bogey's is the first up, Jonas is laying on top of the President elect in the tub when Mac comes in and kills the last bogey. Bob comes in right behind him.

Back on base Tiffy is telling the girls they have to go live with Grandma when Mac and the rest of the team walk in. Mac comes in and kisses Tiffy. Jonas tells Molly they are going to the "mattresses". Everyone is sleeping inside the unit tonight. Mac asks Tiffy why she isn't wearing her wedding ring. She said she left in on the dresser and the MP's took everything. Mac grabs her knee and no one says anything.

Kim tells Bob that Emily has her eyes and looks like Bob's sister. Kim says she has lots of pictures, but they were all taken away.

The next morning Bob is going through all his boxes looking for a baby picture. Mac comes in looking through his boxes to find Tiffy's ring. (We all know what he finds) He finds the picture of Tiffy with the Colonel. Bob then sees it. Mac is going through his stuff for his throw away gun. Bob asks where he's going, to a trial and execution. Mac asks if he wants to come or just read about it. Bob and Mac then get into a fist fight. Bob tells him to take it to the team.

Tiffy storms into the Colonel's office and says her and Mac are divorcing and she's taking the girls. He tells her that the kids will have to stay with their father. He tells her that these people kill their own children, do you think they won't kill yours.

At the Unit hideout in the woods, Mac is drinking. He explains that it is Unit Code that if an officer sleeps with a shooters wife, that officer must be executed. Jonas tells Mac that his mission is secondary to the current attack on the country. Mac agrees to put it off with the promise that there will be a trial.

The Unit is gathered where the Colonel is briefing them that the incidents were not in public view, so the Vice President was killed by a lone deranged gunman, the Vice President elect was killed by an accidental explosion. The line of succession is now secure. He further informs them that because they were out of the country for so long they are the only team that has been vetted for duty. Redcap says she's joined the team, would like the Colonel to approve it. He informs her that there are no women in the Unit, which the enemy knows and that he could use here. The team obviously disgusted with the Colonel can't wait to get out of there, he gives them their marching orders and says they are to answer only to him.

Redcap boards the bus that is taking the women to their new location. They ask if she's part of the Unit, she says there are no women in the Unit and tells them they are not going to a base. She assigns each of them new identities, and tells them to memorize their cover and forget the truth, there is only one truth, the cover. The lives they had before are over.

Desperate Housewives 9-28-08

Mary Alice takes us back to where we left off, five years ago, (how brilliant is this?????)Susan had a baby. Discussing another mom who had a baby girl in the next room, the mom's name was Lila and chronicled all of the times they almost met. The night they met, Susan and Mike were going out to celebrate their anniversary, and Lila and her daughter were going out for ice cream. When a missing stop sign brought them together. They got into a wreck that appears to have killed Mike.

Gabi, has become a mother, and chunky. She has chunky girls.

Bree is running a successful catering business along with her son and her frenemy Katherine.

Preston and Porter have broken into the Scavo's restaurant for gambling and drinking.

Susan is sleeping with someone and kicking him out. She is hiding him from her friends and son.

Next scene shows a man out of the blue handing a guy a LOT of money to buy him out of his lease. He hands him another bundle of cash and tells him to leave. The tenant explains he has no place else to go, but the mystery man helps him leave. He then goes to a car and says, "All taken care of Mrs. Williams," the window rolls down and it's Edie, who says "Why thank you, Mr. Williams."

The next morning Edie goes out and washers her car ala Edie. Lynette is the first to notice and calls everyone. They all go over to catch up. Edie tells them all she has a husband now. The obvious next question, asked by Susan is "whose?" Edie asks Gabi what happened to her, Gabi explains that she had two children. Edie says "what, for breakfast?" and her new husband tells her to be nice.

Carlos and Gabi fight over their daughter's weight, while Carlos is loading her up with cheese.

The Scavo's are fighting over the boys' behavior. Some things never change. Lynette finds out that instead of lecturing them about their behavior he is laughing it up with them. They then go on to fight over all of their other crimes. Tom tells her she's over reacting and un-grounds them for the homecoming dance.

The next scene is a party where Gabi's daughter, Juanita is having her second piece of cake. A very large piece. Gabi then over hears other mothers talking about how Gabi is one of "those" mothers.

Susan is making out with her mystery man, and turns out it's her painter, and Lynette walks in on them. The painter slips out the window and is caught on camera phone in his undies by the gay couple next door. Lynette came to complain about her boys.

Gabi is trying to get her daughter to go and play in the park, Juanita is downing a juice box and has cake all over her face. Gabi, makes her daughter chase after the car all the way home.

Bree and Katherine are fighting about whose recipes and whose, and Katherine is upset that Bree didn't include her in the book. They then fight over the finer points of minced flat vs. minced curly leafed parsley.

Lynnette breaks the news that they are ungrounded. She says they trust them, so much so that they get to take their dad's convertible to homecoming. He tries to convince them that they'd be better of in mom's car. She says that's an uncool car, especially after the dent they put in it. It's much cooler to show up in the convertible. Tom tries to lay down some ground rules. Lynnette tells them to just have fun.

Bree is doing an interview for tv, where they ask Katherine how it really is to work with Bree. Katherine "hurts" her wrist and asks Bree to finish off her "special" piece. A piece that Katherine contends is really her creation. And on live tv, Bree splashes the host in the eye with liquid sugar.

Gabi and Carlos continue to fight over Juanita's weight. Gabi admits that she doesn't feel beautiful. Carlos says she will always be beautiful. And that he sees her face every time he kisses her.

Back to the kitchen where Bree has made the sugar netting for her dessert and in finishing it, she catches it on her jewelry and turns it into a disaster. Katherine comes in and tries to do it despite her injury.

Back on the Scavo front porch, the 'rents are fighting over the boys being late. Tom is worried about his precious convertible and how he spent so much time restoring it. Lynnette says they have to be in sync in order to properly parent the boys. Who show up then, Tom then comes down on the hard and grounds them for a month. They say he's only worried about his car, at which point Tom goes and kicks off the mirror, which he was doing for effect because the mirror was already scratched and he'd already ordered a new one.

The next scene we see Edie and her new husband talking to Mrs. McCluskey at the Scavo's restaurant. Susan has run into her "painter". Edie and the other girls are fighting over whether the party is a "we're sorry" or a "we forgive you" party. Mr. Williams comes in to break it up. Susan's painter then starts to sing Karaoke "I wanna be your boyfriend" Susan then trips the breaker. She pulls him off stage and he wants to know why she's hiding him. She tells him he doesn't want to be in a relationship, maybe she doesn't deserve to be happy. She then tells him about the accident.

Edie and her husband are fighting over why they had to come back to Wisteria Lane. She says she never should have let him talk her into it.

Susan and the painter decide to take it slow.

Bree is at home teaching herself to make the dessert that she failed to do on tv, when she comes across a sippy cup. It flashes back to where Danielle comes to claim her son, Bree tells her that "Orson is gone, you kids are grown, Benjamin is all I have." Back in the present Orson interrupts and says she needs to come to bed as it is after 2:00 in the morning. She tells him that the cooking show has agreed to redo her segment and she needs to get it right.

The next morning Susan is in her kitchen reliving the accident. She looks out of the window and sees Mike. He comes in and asks if MJ is ready. They flash back to a fight that they had about getting the breaks fixed, and the family they killed. Mike says that they didn't kill them, they died and then shows him walking out on her. Then we get to endure the awkward ex living room I might be dating someone talk. She then pulls out a picture of her, Mike and their son.

We then get the narration, wrapping up the show. Mr. Williams answers a phone call, from his doctor. His doctor reminds him that a condition of his release is to check in once a month. He promises to. The doctor then views a video tape of Dave, Mr. Williams, asking what he needs to say to get released. The doctor says he needs to get his rage under control. The audio from the tape continues to play as he walks out of his house and looks down Wisteria lane. The doctor says he wants to make sure that he isn't a threat to himself or others, Dave says he's not a threat to himself and as for the others, there is only one person who should be afraid.

Terence is the first whiner at the mini pit stop. Sarah is networking and he wants her to "connect with me." Starr was flirting with someone I think it was Dallas.

After they get off the bus they have to take a taxi to a church. However, it is difficult to find a taxi, and more whining about how people aren't nice. They all walk by the detour clue. The choices are Hard Way Up, or Soft Way Down.

In Hard Way Up the teams have to climb a staircase, Escadario de Paso, on their hands and knees and answer a spiritual question. If they get the question wrong they have to go down and do it again.

In Soft Way Down. They have to go to the top of a building and climb down a rope netting 240 feet. There can only be three teams on the netting at one time. The first team there misses a critical clue and goes up the elevator and not through the marked doorway to the service stairs. All teams choose this one, except for the Frat Boys who climb the stairs and get have to answer "How many steps have you climbed?" They guess for and get it wrong. The next time they guess 53 and get it right.

They need to go to the Pit Stop. First there was Nick and Starr. As the winners of this leg of the race they win a trip from Travelocity to Belize. The last team to arrive is the Hippies.

The Office 09/25/08

Review-Season finale
Toby's leaving for Costa Rica and it is his last day at the office. He starts training Holly his replacement in HR. Michael is overjoyed with Toby's leaving, but suspicious about Holly since all HR people must be evil. Holly quickly wins him over by offering Michael sympathy when Ryan (the former temp turn corporate VP and Michael's perceived best buddy-only on Michael's part) gets arrested for fraud(the entire office watches on YouTube) and Michael is upset. His initial reservations about Holly take an abrupt 180 when she responds with a Yoda voice and Michael decides he's in love.

Jim advises Michael to take it slow and become her friend first. He says that's what happened with him and Pam. They got to know each other and joke and become friends right here at the office. In the next talking head segment, Jim decides that Toby's goodbye party is the place for him to propose to Pam. Pam has some good news that she got accepted into a 3 month graphic design program in New York. The goodbye party is growing more and more elaborate as Michael contributes money (because he is excited to see Toby leave) and Jim adds in money (for fireworks so he can propose) as Phyllis oversees everything after Michael asks her to when Angela refuses to increase plans from the cake and slide show she had planned.

The party's going along well and everyone is incredibly impressed (Darryl from shipping has his band playing, moonwalk, barbecue). Kevin runs to the store for more sauce and calls Michael and tells him to come down immediately. He has run into Jan (Michael's recent ex) and she is very pregnant. Michael thinks the baby is his and Jan says no, but she didn't cheat on him. Her talking head confesses that at her age, she didn't want to take a chance and she went to a sperm bank. At the party, the fireworks have started and Jim reaches into his pocket and is starting to speak. Then Andy grabs the microphone and proposes to Angela who responds with "yeah, I guess" and Jim puts the ring back in his pocket. Phyllis returns to the office to put away some things and walks in on Angela and Dwight in a compromising position.

The new season!
The various branches of Dunder Mifflin are having a weight loss challenge. All the employees step onto the freight scale and weigh in on Monday morning. At the end of the challenge whichever branch loses the most weight gets three extra vacation days. Andy keeps trying to plan the perfect wedding to Angela who shoots him down and then texts Dwight and they meet for some extracurricular activity in a room in the warehouse.

Pam leaves for New York and starts her classes. The office gets a new receptionist Ronni briefly. Michael decides she's no fun though and Ronni doesn't last long. The new receptionist is none other than temp-turned corporate VP-turned arrested for fraud.. Ryan! He makes a little speech about how he knows he did wrong and now he's returning to his favorite branch and hopes that the can accept him again. Kevin and Jim both make comments and Ryan mentions that he's keeping a list of people who have wronged him in someway and he'll remember when he's back on top. Phyllis is now the official head of the party planning committee since catching Angela in her compromising position.

Meanwhile the weight loss competition is heating up. The first week they lose 30something pounds. The next week they gain 4 lbs. Kelly shares her dedication to her lemon juice, cayenne pepper and something else drink diet. The next weigh in Kelly faints and has to be on IV fluids for 2 days. Stanley has decided to diet on his own and shares his weight loss on the talking heads and starts taking the stairs and doing exercise at his desk. Corporate ups the prize to five vacation days because every branch is doing dismally. Dwight lectures the office and suggests that three people should get weight loss surgery and will randomly call out three names-Phyllis, Stanley, and Kevin- and announces that they will be responsible for their own expenses. Later Dwight apologizes to Phyllis and says to make amends he will include her on a sure-fire sale and they can split the commission 60-40.

A few scenes later, Phyllis comes in sweaty and enraged. Dwight dropped her off in a bad neighborhood and made her walk five miles back to the office. He says she should thank him for making her exercise. She calls corporate and the competition is suspended for a week and sensitivity training is scheduled instead. Michael, per usual, begins by wearing his Sumo suit and saying being fat is okay and beautiful and being generally offensive. Then he has Kelly stand up on her chair and tells everyone how beautiful she is and has others compliment her as well (including Ryan who stands up and states that she is perfect) and this scene really shows how big Michael's heart can truly be.

Oscar tells Holly that his yoga instructor is really hot and offers a fix-up since Holly is into yoga as well. Holly initially declines (maybe because of the flirting with Michael?), but when Jan shows up at the office and is getting her feet massaged by Michael , she gives Oscar her number to pass onto the yoga guy. She goes on a couple dates with him and is supposed to go to a concert with him the night on the day of the last weigh-in, but he hasn't called her back yet. Jim IM's Pam and arranges to meet her for lunch between Scranton and New York. They meet and Pam jokingly complains about how she had to drive farther when Jim drops to one knee and tells her "I can't wait any longer. Will you marry me?" Pam, of course, accepts and then they have to drive back to Scranton and New York.

Holly tells Michael that yoga dude stood her up and how she hates to waste the tickets and Michael offer to buy them from her and she's smiling saying ok, when Michael rips the tickets up. Scranton loses by eight pounds to another branch.

Next week the VP debates are on so no new Office.

Without a Trace 9-23-08

We see two men running through the streets. The chaser disappears.

Sam is back from maternity leave, struggling to hide the multitude of stains. There is a new agent. Medina reports that a Ryan Mitchell was reported missing by his ex-wife. Mitchell's daughter disappeared three years ago and was never found.

Medina starts asking for strategy and assigns different interviews, but leaves Jack out of the loop. Jack looks pissed.

16 hours missing. They are interviewing the ex-wife. Wondering why he'd chase a guy wondering if there would be anything he wouldn't tell the police. She said yes, he was very involved in finding his daughter. During a flashback we find out that he was with the daughter when she went missing. The wife tells him to let her go. She then reports that every Sunday the dad and daughter would go for icecream. The dad hasn't been able to revisit the street, but the mom goes every week.

They are listening to the first interview that the dad gave after his daughter's disappearance. They flash back to where the girl goes missing. They had just left the ice cream shop when someone bumps into him, he drops his stuff and when he reaches down to pick it up she vanishes. No one saw the girl after she went missing. They discuss whether or not the girl may have known her abductor.

Ryan, the dad, paid a psychic and at 18 hours missing the team is at the psychic's place of business. They ask the psychic where Ryan is, the psychic says he can't talk about it. They ask if he's hiding behind "Psychic/Client Privilege"

The psychic tells them that things are not always as they seem. During the flashback the psychic is telling of a black wall. He asks Mr. Mitchell, "what are you hiding?" Then says "you killed your daughter." Says he didn't report that to the police because he was afraid he'd be killed.

19 hours missing we're back in the office. Jack and Sam are discussing the liklihood that he killed the daughter. Sam argues that he wouldn't have kept up the search for three years. She then offers up Ryan's Easy Pass log they match his sales calls except for one. Then they discover he's joined a support group for parents with missing children. The support group leader says she doesn't think he killed her. He was starting to help other parents deal with their loss.

The team speaks with parents who were being helped by Ryan. One of the parent's disclosed that Ryan had hated the psychic and hadn't seen him in a long time. However, the last check to clear Ryan's bank was to that psychic and it was quite large. The team had assumed that the large check was for keeping the secret. The parent said Ryan intended on exposing the psychic as a fraud.

Jack is in therapy discussing the new boss. Jack says he's a "good soldier" the therapist asks if he can be a soldier when he has been a general. Jack says the job is about finding people. The therapist says the Universe gives us advice. She advises him to examine why he does the things he does. She asks if this job is supposed to cost this much. He says self awareness does not lead to transformation, it leads to self justification. She asks why he keeps coming back, he's not required to be there.

20 hours missing. They have the psychic in the interview room. Accusing him of killing Ryan. They remind him that he committed a felony by lieing to a federal agent and he's going to lose everything fighting to keep himself out of jail. They flash back to a scene where Ryan is handing the psychic a check and telling the psychic to leave the other parents alone. It's not the grief that kills you, it's the hope.

The team finds a lead in the another kid's disappearance. They track it back to a guy that looks exactly like the sketch of the guy being chased by Ryan. It was also a guy who had been visited by Ryan several weeks prior, and had a recent arrest for kiddie porn. Sam and Martin go to check him out only to be told that he'd left an hour ago. They see him on the street. Sam chases after him on foot, Martin blocks him with his car, and Sam punches him in the face knocking him out.

21 hours missing Jack goes into Medina's office and tells him of a lead up in Albany where the body of the missing boy may have been buried. Sam asks Jack to cover for her while she runs home to check the baby. Medina asks who should go to Albany. Medina tells Jack "let's take your car."

When they get up to Albany, they run into a kid who saw Ryan digging lots of holes on his father's farm. The kid asked Ryan what he was doing, he answered that his friend had lost something and he was looking for it. Ryan tells him, it's not here, I made a mistake. Asks the kid to tell his dad he's sorry for digging all the holes.

He then gives up the search for that kid as well as his own. But the team has found his daughter. All the little puzzle pieces lead to a substitute teacher the girl had right before her disappearance. But now they have to find Ryan as well. The get an Easy Pass hit and discover him at the icecream shop. They take him back to the office where he sees his daughter and his ex-wife.

The Presidential Debate 9/26/08

Where do you stand on the economic recovery plan?

Obama -
#1 Oversight of $700 billion
#2 Assure tax payers can get their money back
#3 No Golden Parachutes
#4 Protect Homeowners

Says trickle down economics do not work.

McCain -

Transparency
Accountability
Need to create jobs
Eliminate dependence on foreign oil

Are you in favor of economic bailout?

Obama - Haven't seen it. Says he wrote to Secretary of Treasury to point out problems.

McCain - Also warned about Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and corporate pay. We need to reward people who succeed. Not reward greed and corruption. He'll hold people responsible accountable.

McCain says we need to get spending under control. He says he will veto any spending bill. He says Obama has asked for almost a million dollars a day for every day he was in the Senate.

Obama says he suspended everything for his state. Ear marks account for $18 billion he says McCain is asking for $300 billion dollars in tax breaks for corporations. He wants to grow the economy from the bottom up.

McCain says Obama only suspended pork barrel spending in his state after he began to run for President. Says Obama has proposed $800 billion in new spending.

Obama says he's closing corporate loopholes. He says eliminating earmarks will not get the middle class back on track.

McCain says the business tax is the second highest business tax in the world 35% - if you go to a country where the rate is 11% you'll make money. If you cut the tax rate you'll keep jobs here, and create more. He wants to give every family a $5000 refundable tax credit to buy health care. Double the dependant child dividend from $3500 to $7000.

Obama's definition of rich. If you make less than $250,000 you will not see a tax increase. He says business tax loopholes have an effective tax rate that is one of the lowest in the world. Says the $5000 tax credit but the tax benefits will be taxed. He doesn't believe that the market can solve everything.

McCain says they had an energy bill that had billions of dollars of breaks for the oil corporations. He voted against it, Obama voted for. Obama has voted to raise taxes on $42,000 -

Obama says not true, but doesn't defend it.

The financial rescue - As President of whatever financial rescue plan, what are you going to have to give up to pay for the rescue plan?

Obama - doesn't know what the budget will look like next year. Has to have energy independence. 10 years we'll be free of international oil. Have to fix health care. We have to compete in education, science and technology. Have to make sure our children are keeping pace. Make college affordable. Rebuild our infrastructure. Also make sure electricity grid is capable of getting new energy to places it's needed.

McCain - WE HAVE TO CUT SPENDING Government is completely out of control. Can't reach across the aisle as far left as Obama is. He would eliminate ethanol subsidies. We have to do away with cost plus contracts for defense. Fixed cost contracts. Defense spending is very important, but we have to get the cost overruns under control. We have to examine every agency in government and get rid of anyone who isn't doing his job.

Obama we give away $15 billion to private insurers through the Medicaid program. Says he's not super liberal, just opposes Bush. He wants to make a Google for Government to list for the taxpayer what they are spending on.

McCain a spending freeze on everything except national defense and caring for veterans.

Obama wants to increase early childhood education. We're currently spending $10 billion a month in Iraq, need to bring war to a close.

McCain says we're sending $700 billion to countries that don't like us. We need offshore drilling and nuclear energy. We could create 700,000 jobs by building 45 nuclear power plants by 2030.

Obama the bailout will affect our budgets. Even if the economy recovers and we get the money back, we won't see the money for awhile. The tax revenues will be down.

McCain doesn't want to hand the health care system over to they federal Government. We have to cut spending. Obama has $800 billion in new spending programs. We can adjust spending to take care of current programs. A healthy economy with low taxes, without raising any ones taxes, is the best recipe for economic recovery along with spending restraint. We're here because spending is out of control. Has plans to reduce wasteful spending.

Obama brings up that McCain agrees with Bush 90% of the time.

McCain says he has opposed the President on climate change, Guantanamo, how the Iraq war has been operated.

What are the lessons of Iraq?

McCain You cannot have a failed strategy that will lead you to nearly lose a conflict. The war was mishandled after we took Baghdad. Says new strategy has succeeded. Troops will come home not in defeat. Consequences of defeat are greater Iranian influence. Thanks to General Petrais, we will come home, not in defeat.

Obama six years ago he opposed the war. Not only did we not know how much it would cost, or how it would affect our relationships around the world. Hadn't caught Bin Laden, haven't finished Afghanistan. Spent $600 billion and 4,000 lives. Al Qaeda is as strong as it's been since 2002. $79 billion military surplus during the economic crisis at home. Military needs to be used to keep Americans safe.

McCain will have to decide when we leave and what we leave behind. Says Obama said troop surge wouldn't work, then said it exceeded his expectations, but still would not have voted for surge.

Obama says issues of Afghanistan and Iraq don't go through his committee. Violence has been reduced due to our troops and military families. Surge was a tactic to contain damage of mismanagement. War has only been successful since 2007. "Who is best equipped as to how we use our military?"

McCain says Obama doesn't understand the difference between tactic and a strategy. He's been to Iraq. Says troops tell him to "let us win, we don't want our kids coming back here." Obama voted to cut off funding for troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Obama says McCain opposed funding for troops in legislation with a time table. He says he opposed funding for troops without a timetable. Didn't want to give a blank check to George Bush. We should end the war responsibly, in phases. Wants to capture and kill Bin Laden.

McCain says Obama's plan is dangerous according to General Patrais. Iraq is the central battle ground. Says Obama's timeline would have pulled the troops out before the troop surge. If we adopt Obama's plan we will have a wider war.

Do you think more US troops should go to Afghanistan, how many and how soon?

Obama - Highest fatalities among US troops in 2007 since 2002. 2-3 additional brigades to Afghanistan. We have to deal with a growing popply trade. We have to deal with Pakistan. We've been giving Pakistan $10 billion.

McCain - A new strategy has to be employed in Afghanistan. Need cooperation of the people in the country.

What is your reading of the threat from Iran?

McCain -They are a threat to Israel, we cannot have a second Holocaust. We could impose significant, painful sanctions on the Iranians that would have a beneficial effect. We can with a League of Democracy control them. They are on the path to nuclear weapons. They are putting the most lethal IED's into Iraq. They are a threat to security in the world, and with our friends can contain them.

Obama - The single thing that has strengthened Iran is the war in Iraq. The policy over the last 8 years has not worked. We need tougher sanctions. We need to include Russia and China as allies against Iran. We need tough direct diplomacy. Our efforts of isolation has increased their path to nuclear weapons.

***Last half hour on a later post***

Survivor 9/25/08

So, I watched it. The teams were picked. One is called Fang, although it's pronounced Fong. The other Kato. Fang just happens to have all of the underdogs on it. I guess that like attracts like.

It was a two hour show. Two eliminations. The first elimination sent Michelle home. from the Tribe of Fang. She was the last picked, didn't play the game. She found it hard to pretend to like people she didn't like. Buh bye.

Second to go was Gillian. One of the two oldest. She started the picking of Tribe Fang, and did a poor job. See ya.

I found it to be boring, maybe it's just the first episode and I haven't picked my favorites. Maybe it's just that I don't care. I'll give it one more chance, but I can't stand the gameplay. I don't like that everyone feels they have to lie, lie, lie to stay in the game. I would like for once, even on a reality game show for someone to tell the truth.

The Amazing Race 13 - 9-28-08

Introducing the teams:

Anthony and Stephanie

The on again off again couple, hoping that stress and pressure will bring them back together. Place your bets now. He's a mortgage broker, she's a financial saleswoman. Knowing what we know now, let's hope they win, they probably don't have jobs anymore.

Toni and Dallas
A Mother/Son team. She won't let go is hoping for some quality time. He thinks she talks too much.

Nick and Starr

The brother/sister team. Meaning there will be fighting and crying and they won't have to "evaluate" their relationship every episode. They were bitter enemies in high school, let's see if that doesn't make for some drama.

Anita and Arthur

(the hippies)

They, and I quote from CBS's website, "make their own honey" now that is talent. I thought only bees could make their own honey. With such powers they may be the ones to contend with.

Kelly and Christy

(the bff's)

Divorce's out to see the world. (sorry, I doubt that's punctuated correctly). Their friendship handled their divorces, let's see what non-stop travel and stress will do to it.

Ken and Tina

Married but separated and bicoastal. Their biography is quick to point out their Christianity and his unfaithfulness. Wondering if this will be the token bash Christians team. Hope not.

Terence and Sarah

Happily dating for over a year, and going to ruin it in under a month she has an MBA from Wharton, he is a running coach who pays the bills by selling real estate.

Marisa and Brooke

The blonde team. There master plan? Flirting.

Andrew and Dan

Frat boys, apparently been named "Team Superbad" by their fellow racers.

Aja and Ty

The long distance daters. This could either be really good, or really bad, depending on how much stake they place in the race making or breaking their relationship.

Mark and Bill

Comic book geeks. One has traveled on has not. They've been friends for 25 years. They'll probably come out with their relationship in tact.

So, I'm really bad at assessing the teams from the get go. I counted O'Brother out of Season 2 early on and they went on to the final three. The last set of blondes did really well, Miss New York and Miss California made it pretty far, and the winner of the All Stars was originally part of a blonde team. I'm wondering who'll be the Myrna/Schmyrna team this season. I don't know, some one has got to be annoying, I just can't pick them from their pictures.

Tune in Sunday after 60 minutes to find out.

ER 9-25-08

We start off in the ER with a father rushing in his young son, saying they were near the explosion. 'What explosion?" He explained an ambulance had blown up on Michigan Street. When we left last season Sam and Pratt were deciding who was going to do a ride along with a witness protection patient. As Gates is leaving in an ambulance to go check he sees Sam in the ambulance bay.

Next we see Abby passed out in the street, a little bruised, a little bloody. Near a fire being attended to by fire fighters. We see Pratt in the front of the ambulance, he is conscious. The driver has been impaled. Pratt and Abby are now patients, Pratt is vomiting blood. Pratt claims to be alright.

Next we see Neela and Brennan getting dressed after their rondevous in the break room. Everyone is rushing to help Pratt who is dictating orders for everyone else. Abby has a broken wrist. Mrs. "Gharrett" is a patient, and is demanding Abby's time. Abby gets her wrist set and goes back to break the news to Pratt that the bone sticking out of his leg isn't his. He also has "blast lung" which caused bruising on his lungs. His sats are going down and he needs to be intubated.

Another patient who has asthma was in a car near the blast. She knows a lot about her condition, and her nanny is calling her mom.

They are having trouble intubating Pratt. The ambulance driver is going up to surgery. They still can't intubate, they are going to "Crike" him, opening his throat to provide oxygen. There isn't a crike tray in the room so they improvise.

Pratt's brother finds out he's in the ER and goes in to visit him. Pratt can't talk because of the crike.

Asthma girl is "acting weird" according to her mom, and she passes out.

Meanwhile Pratt has developed a mass in his neck, and is going to need surgery. And Abby is going to run test for the asthma girl. There is a very weird web tester guy with a broken leg bugging Abby and then Pratt starts spraying blood out of his mouth. Neela has to tie off his carotid to stop the bleeding. They are calling his girlfriend and the asthma girl is crashing too. They figure that the asthma girl inhaled cyanide, and Abby runs back to Pratt's room.

They pull a bone out of Pratt's throat. Abby pushes meds on the asthma girl, and then Pratt goes into V-fib. Pratt needs to go on bypass and they are performing CPR. When they get Pratt stabilized on bypass. They determine that Pratt may have had an air embolis. He is currently has no brain activity, but they think he may recover, they'll wait four hours and reassess.

Morris tells everyone to get back to work, but not in the normal jerky Morris way. Pratt's brother stays behind. They perform an ultrasound after two hours, they see no cardiac activity. Gates asks Pratt's brother if it's ok they honor Pratt's wishes to be an organ donor. If necessary.

At four hours they determine that Pratt is brain dead. They are all standing by when they pronounce that Pratt is dead. They explain that he is going to stay on bypass to keep his organs vital. Pratt's brother pushes his gurney upstairs so that they can harvest his organs. Frank helps them with the elevator and touches Pratt as he's wheeled by.

The next scene is one week later. Everyone appears to be returning from Pratt's funeral. Dr. Weaver and Dr. Carter have sent gifts in memory. Pratt's fiance' tells them all that they were Pratt's family.

Broken leg weirdo gets wheeled into the ER, they remember him and that he was annoying. Neela is needed in Trauma and doesn't have time to change out of her clothes. Weird broken leg guy has sepsis in his leg and they decide to wash his leg in the ER.

Abby tells Haleh that she and Luka were thinking about moving, but don't know now.

Morris is in a room with Betina, Pratt's fiance' he asks how she's doing after her surgery for colon cancer. Morris fumbles around a lot. Morris tells her he's been holding on to something. He pulls the ring Pratt had bought in the last episode out and gives it to her. She cries, they hug.

Gates and Sam are walking and talking. Sam tells him that she could've been on the ambulance, and she doesn't want to waste time. She thinks they "have something real". Morris interrupts and they decide to go to Ike's. Anspaugh calls and tells his nephew or whatever he is, that they were going to offer the ER Chief position to Pratt. Gates leaves to chase after Chaz, Pratt's brother and invites him to Ike's. He says he can't handle it, Gates encourages him to come. Chaz regrets not knowing him for the first 18 years of his life. He tells them to "have a good time at your party".

Broken leg guy caused his sepsis by scratching under his cast with a wire coat hanger. The woman that he saved when he broke his leg comes to visit him.

They are all gathered at Ikes. Morris asks if anyone wants to say anything. Neela tells everyone how Pratt helped her through the death of her husband. Chaz shows up, and says he was clueless before he met Pratt. Abby reads a letter telling of the people who got Pratt's organs. He saved three lives that day. Morris tells how he and Pratt used to go to Ikes for Mozzarella sticks and then several orders come out and they toast him with cheese sticks.

Criminal Minds 9-24-08

Started late due to Presidential speech. If you didn't DVR CSI New York and still have the opportunity run and do that now. My husband was great and when the President came on he immediately set to record everything on all channels through the rest of the evening. We love him don't we?

Recapping where we left off. Serial killer loose in New York. Cameras have gotten video of all of the killings. If the lady in charge doesn't solve the case Morgan is set to replace her. One of the local cops gets shot. The team figures out it's terrorism. And finally the SUV blows up.

Scattered bits of paper falling from the sky. Slowwwww motion. Hotch holding something, but dazed and confused. See's the car and time resumes. He can't hear. He's got a thing for Kate, now he finally figures out Kate was in the car, was but no longer is. She's been blown down the street, a bloody mess and looking for her purse. She's in shock apparently. And not in pain.

Apparently help isn't coming, because the team figured out they were targeting the first wave of responders. So, the ambulance and fire officials were notified to not respond.

Garcia is calling everyone to see who's missing. Not Reid, not Rossi, not Morgan, not Prentis, not JJ.

The cameras show that the bomb was planted after the car was parked and the bomb setter stopped in the area. All of the cell phones are dead. Morgan pulls the Marine card and gets through the barricade. The unsub is "helping" and tells them "good luck" when he leaves. Morgan gets the call from Garcia and a chase ensues.

Leading Mogan into, no doubt, a first responder ambush. Just shoot the guy already. Meanwhile a paremedic shows up. Shady me thinks. Morgan chases the unsub through the subway and it is Morgan v. unsub who is nowhere to be found. How sexy is Morgan with his gun? Mmm hmm. Now Morgan is in the tunnels. Unsub shows himself, walking on the rails, taunting him and finally doing himself in on the third rail.

Homeland security is revisiting all of the murder sites, nothing. Paramedic still seems shady. Hotch talks his way throught the ER barricade. They get inside and Hotch collapses.

They figure that the profile is wrong. The city is about to get hit. And I was right about the paramedic. He's the bomb maker, and the bomb is in the ambulance that Hotch brought into the hospital. The Secret Service had the hospital on lockdown, meaning someone big is inside, and the place is about to go Kaboom.

Morgan goes downstairs and hotwires the ambulance with the bad guy chasing after him and shooting. Garcia has jammed the cell towers but they only have three minutes. The entire team ends up in the ambulance bay and find all of the Secret Service Men dead in the elevator. The suicide bomber is sitting in the bay holding a knife so he can kill himself as soon as he blows up the ambulance. The entire team is there and can shoot him in the back. The cell service is coming back online and Morgan tells Garcia.... nothing because the ambulance blows up. The paramedic slits his own throat. And we see that Morgan escaped from the ambulance and tells Garcia that she is his "God given solace. Whatever happens don't you ever stop talking to me."

The team is standing over the suicide bomber and it cuts to the interior of the hospital where we find that Kate has died. No tubes inserted for surgery, looking beautiful for being blown to smithereens.

The other good news is the local cop who was shot is alive and well. Prentiss gives him crap about smoking in the hospital. They flirt back and forth even though he's married. She gives him "great seats" to the Mets, and he wonders why she didn't assume he was a Yankees fan.

Morgan drives Hotch back to DC, because Hotch can't fly because of the bomb. Morgan has been requested to run the New York office. Hotch says he has and always will trust his life to Morgan, but asks Morgan if he can return the sentiment.

And roll credits.

America's Got Talent 9-24-08

Shortened version due to Presidential Speech.

Going first tonight is Nuttin But Stringz. They are doing a song that they wrote. They got a standing O from the judges, and the crowd was on their feet the whole time.

Piers says that they are what is right with America. The winner is someone who has the most unique talent, the most dynamism. He thinks they are the winners.
Sharon says their material is never ending. It's incredible.
The Hoff says Nuttin but Vegas.

Second up is Donald Braswell. He is singing "You Raise Me Up." My vote is that is a bad call. You can't sing a song that Josh Groban does impeccably. You just won't compare. He has gotten a lot better than he was in the beginning. The judges were wrong to not advance him past Vegas the first time. He is good but he's no Josh. A few people stood.

Sharon says his personality isn't up to the competition, she said he needs to go to Broadway.
Hoff disagreed.
Piers says the last note was a little over the top. You've lived your dream, and Piers commended him for proving the judges wrong.

Next up is Neal E. Boyd. My favorite, just because he is so sweet and so talented. He sang an opera song. I wouldn't know the name of it, but he does opera best. He has quite the voice. His mom was there to see his performance. A lot of people stood.

Hoff says he is honored to have been on the journey with him. This is what America is all about.
Piers says he's in a strange and uncomfortable position, because he agreed with David.
Sharon says she'd heard the song many times before but never as beautiful as he did it tonight.

Fourth up this evening was another male vocalist, Eli Mattson. He sang "Against All Odds" by Phil Collins. He's more of a Marc Cohn type singer, it was good but not great. I'm glad he got this far, I'm sure he'll go places from here. Of course young and good looking may get him far.

Piers says what he likes most about him is that he takes old classics and makes them his own.
Sharon says he has a great voice, he is a great musician, he's young and good looking.
Hoff says he's the dark horse. He has class and he's real.

Queen Emily is the only woman left. She sang "One Moment in Time" she did a great job. I'm glad that there is a talent show for people older than 20 something. The crowd was on their feet early on for the first time since Nuttin but Stringz.

Piers said she looked like a Queen tonight, and that this was her best performance of the competition. He said she'd struggle to win against Nuttin but Stringz
Sharon said she is a Diva. Her confidence shines through, and the audience feels good when she performs.
Hoff says she looks like a princess, I think he was trying to be clever. You'll go on to have an amazing career.

Go and vote for your favorite at www.nbc.com and tune in next Wednesday for the reveal. Lots of surprises.

The Biggest Loser 9-23-08

We begin where we ended. Right after the elimination of the Green team. The Orange team, Heba and her husband thanked everyone for keeping them there and are forming alliances.

Bob came to find out that he'd lost the Green team, and spent some time consoling the teams. Warning them that week two sucks for weight loss. Trying to motivate them on their eating and exercise.

Jillian is going over the plan with the individuals. Telling them they need to step it up. One of the kids freaks, letting out some of the codependency, Jillian counsels. Poorly, saying it's ok to leave a marriage if it's "loveless". I know that's a popular belief. Yes, mom put herself first, but I don't see that putting yourself first makes for a good marriage. Just my commentary.

Interspersed in the show is little tidbits of product placements. We had gum, Subway sandwiches, and Brita pitchers. Jenny O at the grocery store. Ziploc Zip and Steams, were fully explained, as usual, everyone was amazed. Pam was hiding out in the kitchen.

The temptation was an auction. The prize $10,000 if you're right, below the yellow line if you are wrong. Historically, the average weight lost during week two has been 2%. The yellow team bid it up to 2.3% or for them more than 13 pounds in Biggest Loser speak, at least 14 pounds for the rest of us in the english speaking world. Yellow will be getting their butts kicked literally and figuratively by Jillian.

The second week challenge is the gigantic slip and slide. They are calling it the sprint and slide. A slip and slide relay race, they have two minutes to go down the slip and slide and get back up the hill. If they don't make it in two minutes, they are eliminated. Last team standing wins a phone call home. My bet is on the Red Team, the parents with the autistic son. Yellow and Gray dad's still cannot compete, so the kids are going to pick up the slack. Brown went out in one. I was wrong, Red got eliminated in the second round. It comes down to Purple and Orange after 17 rounds. Orange gets the phone call home and give the bonus call home to Red.

Chef Rocco, hey aren't you dancing on the other channel tonight? showed up and showed everyone how to cook healthy.

Who's barfing?

Who's whining? Pink, Brown says they "lost on purpose" because they didn't want to look like a big threat. Gray is whining because they have to cook cauliflower and no one like cauliflower.

Who lost BIG?

Red lost 12 pounds or 2.30%
Brown lost 11 pounds or 2.04%
Orange lost 11 pounds or 1.83%
Pink lost 7 pounds or 1..46
Purple lost 6 pounds or 1.41%
Gray lost 0 that's right ZERO Tom lost 3, LT gained 3 BIG FAT O.

Yellow having the possibility of going home if they don't lose 14 pounds ended up losing 11. They would have been in third place with 1.93% Guess you shouldn't play with fire.

Up for elimination are Gray and Yellow. Both have a team member that is the most unhealthy in Biggest Loser history. Sucks.

Who's going home tonight?

Purple votes Gray
Orange renigs on their promise and votes Gray
Red votes Gray

Buh bye now.

Allison announces that the rest of them are going to the Grand Canyon.

Gray has gotten off their meds that were compensating for their weight. Dad lost 65 pounds. LT lost 81 pounds. Looking good.

How I Met Your Mother 9-22-08

Stella accepted Ted's proposal. Marshall is still unemployed. Lily is doing her painting, Barney is rehabbing after his bus accident.

Barney is acting like a dork at the bar, and he calls Lily over to his apartment at 7:22 in the morning. He confesses that he's in love with Robin.

Marshall asks Ted about Stella. Ted knows nothing. Even the color of her eyes.

Barney caught feelings when he slept with Robin, and he's freaking out.

Marshall thinks that Ted should spend more time getting to know Stella.

Lily asks Barney if he's in love, why is he still sleeping around.

Ted does learn something about Stella, that she's allergic to peanuts. He finds out when he feeds some to her. He also finds out that she has never seen Star Wars. She watches it, hates it and lies about it. Promising Marshall to pretend to love it forever.

Lily sets Barney up with Robin, Barney is un-Barney, Robin tries fruitlessly to get him to be Barney, but he's just being a nice guy. She repays him by wing womaning him up with a chesty waitress. He takes her home, cries on Lily's shoulder and says he chooses bimbos over Robin.

Then Lily and Marshall change their sex code word from Rhinocerus to Chimichanga.

DANCING WITH THE STARS 9/23/08

This show is one of my favorites and it's on ABC. I watched it last night and this is my take on the competition so far.

Those who have NO chance:

#1 Clois Leachman & Corky Ballas: Thanks for playing, but being older then dirt...no chance. I applaud her for trying, but if she does much more, she may brake something.

#2 Jeff Ross & Edyta Sliwinska, thank God he's a comedian...he has that to fall back on.

#3 Ted McGinley & Inna Brayer...cute smile, but he falls over his own two feet. Just not good enough.

#4 Susan Lucci & Tony Dovolani ...pretty face and skinny, but her skin looks like leather. She is really nervous and doesn't have the flexibility. Stick to being Erica Kane. You've done this for 5000 years (since she was 16) and you do it well.

#5 Warren Sapp & Kym Johnson...gentle giant that has nice footwork, but he's still too big to do difficult stuff.

#6 Rocco DiSpirito & Karina Smirnoff...just not a dancer!

Those who are ok and will last until the first 6 are gone...

#7 Kim Kardashian & Mark Ballas...no connection to her partner, pretty, but dumber then dirt.

#8 Misty Mae-Treanor & Maksim Chmerkovskiy...I love Max, but Misty is too muscular and isn't "lady-like" enough. Sorry, Max, but you won't win this year.

#9 Brooke Burke & Derek Hough...she has a great body for having had 4 kids and Derek likes that she can hyperextend her legs, but she is a major cluts.

Those who will be left at the end...

#10 Maurice Greene & Cheryl Burke...he's very graceful and works well with Cheryl.

#11 Toni Braxton & Alec Mazo...she has a lot of potential and has a hot body.

#12 Lance Bass & Lacey Schwimmer...they are amazing together! Lacey was on, "So You Think You Can Dance." I love these two together. She has very chunky legs for a dancer.

#13 Codi Linley & Julianne Hough...lots of chemistry and Codi is young and has a lot of talent.

I THINK IT WILL COME DOWN TO #12 AND #13!!! The first elimination show will be tonight...let's see how I do!!!
